Rose Description:
The Margarette Golding rose is a strong, verdurous plant laden with mid-green glossy foliage that almost appears polished under sunlight. With a robust and radiant habit, the plants, even at their pre-flowering stage are themselves a delight to observe.
Through late May and early June enjoy the emergence of plentiful delicately cupped, butter yellow flowers, with repeat performances later in the Summer and Autumn. The colour of the blooms is a big attraction for bees. And access to exposed pollen as the stamens become fully revealed, means this rose will literally be buzzing with activity. Blooms produce a delicate, spicy perfume which just adds to its long list of attributes.
Suitable for beds and borders. Or, plant several in a row 90cm apart to create a vibrant hedge growing up to 120cm tall.
The Margarette Golding Rose is in honour of the lady who founded The Inner Wheel 100 years ago. Mrs Golding, a woman of vision nurtured the growth and established the foundations for one of the world’s largest women’s voluntary service organisations.
